Entrepreneurship
You are planning to open a side business in your free times and explore the possibility of expanding it to a full-scale business venture if successful. Your main idea is to create and sell fancy boxes for cakes, donuts and lightweight items. Your initial plan is to buy the standard 22" x 28" poster papers (See example) and sell the cut-to-size, ready-to-fold packs of 10 to the prospective customers. Here are the basic restrictions and options:
- 1. Select a fancy design so it has less competition and better market outlook.
- 2. Final design must take advantage of maximum size of the board for each poster board (either 22" or 28") to create the least waste.
- 3. Only the poster board, and in one piece, no adhesive or other holding devices should be used.
- 4. No separate lid or handle, all should be included in your design.
Check a simple examples (which does not fit the criteria above)

Search the internet for some available designs and select one that has a drawing that you can use. [Sample search]. Make sure the design that you select has drawings of how to cut, fold, and make the box to make it easier to complete the project. [Sample search]. Scale it to proper size. Cut, fold and make it into a box. When satisfied measure.
Note: This project is optional for both graduating senior and non-graduating seniors. For those who submit the report, and present before the deadline, the grade will replace the lowest project grade from past projects.
